Keep Bananas fresh longer

Keep Bananas fresh longer

So your bananas are going brown before you get a chance to eat them? Well here’s a trick. First of all when your bananas are the color you like it’s time to slow down the ripping process being caused by the release of ethylene gas.

First thing is to break them apart. The gases released cause the banana to brown so by separating them it slows the process down.

While separating helps it’s not enough. Next wrap the end with cling wrap or tin foil.

And lastly put them in the fridge. They will last about twice as long as leaving them out. Try to keep them away from other fruits as most release ethylene gas which will speed up the ripping process.
